On June 28, 2025, Jeffrey and I got married. We were joined by his parents and two brothers, my mother and father, and friends Monica/Keith and Aimee. We were married at the Happy Valley Moravian Church, a space that was very important to Granma Ford.

At the ceremony, we had a special place for both of our grandmothers. I like to think they were present that day; in the beautiful sunshine, in the butterfly that visited, and most certainly in our hearts.

Thank you to Sophie Ford for officiating the ceremony, and for her husband Roy who rang the church bell and called us in. To Aimee for coming early to set up the memorial table, and to Monica and Keith for the cake. And to Becky Michelin who captured these special moments.

Our day was small, quiet and peaceful – like the way we live our lives, and the way we’ll carry our marriage into the future.
