Niko

Ten days ago, on May 18, we added another member to our family. Little Niko (formerly Striker) came from Newfoundland by plane to us. We adopted him from the Gander SPCA.

Since we lost Grace on April 6, Kane has been visibly depressed. We wanted to wait a while longer before getting another dog…but then I saw Niko on Facebook and was blown away by how much he looked like Kane. A part of me thought, how cool would that be to have two dogs that looked so much alike?

Well, he couldn’t be further from being like Kane to be quite honest LOL. He’s a bit of a troublemaker right now, but he is only 1.5 years old, very much still a puppy. He is a beagle mix. I’m convinced that the ‘mix’ is Jack Russell Terrier, haha. He’s more than one handful, but he is loved.
